The Golden Jubilee of the automobile was celebrated in Detroit, and among the pioneers then living who helped create the industry was Charles W. Nash, shown with George W. Mason, Nash-Kelvinator president, as the company prepared public showings of its first postwar (1946) models in the fall of 1945.
